SILS Lap-Band
The Chicago Center for Bariatric Surgery, performs a revolutionary type of bariatric surgery - single incision laparoscopic gastric band (SILS LAP-BAND). The SILS LAP-BAND option is a reversible, adjustable approach to weight loss surgery. During the procedure, a ring is placed around the upper part of the stomach, to ensure that you feel fuller and eat less. The ring is adjustable and can be removed if you choose. During the SILS Lap-Band procedure, the ring is inserted through a single incision, as opposed to six cuts, resulting in:
