Alzheimer’s disease in the Latino Community is a program designed to educate individuals and groups about Alzheimer’s disease and increase awareness about the Alzheimer’s Association resources and support services. The program consists of watching "The Latino Family and Memory Loss," a short film in Spanish about a Latino family going through the phases of awareness, diagnosis, and caring for a grandmother who has Alzheimer’s disease. Following the film, there is short informational session about the differences between Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and normal memory changes related to aging. This session is in Spanish.
