Compassionate Caregiver Award
The Compassionate Caregiver Award is given to a member of the Westlake Hospital family who communicate sensitively with the patient and their loved ones, by listening carefully, displaying empathy and instilling a sense of hope. It is bestowed upon one employee annually who is recognized by his or her peers for respecting the patient’s values, culture, choices and decisions and understanding the significance of the patient’s family and community. The recipient displays endless display compassion for patients and inspires others.
